How to measure for chair leg cap Always measure the leg on the outside of the tube, using a caliper, ruler or ruler. The outside measurement applies whether end cap is going inside the tube or on the outside of a chair or table leg (like a stocking)
When inserting end cap into the pipe, it is still the external dimension that you need to select. The pipe wall thickness will also be listed in the “Dimensions” box or under “Description” on the product page.
