Here you will find end caps that fit pipes, table legs, sofa and chair legs as well as ironing boards etc. To protect your floors and give your furniture a longer lifespan, it’s a good idea to put end caps/felt caps under the legs of the furniture, because they, especially pipes, can quickly damage the floor. It’s so healthy to sleep properly, especially at night. However, some people don’t have that option because of their job. For example, people working shifts; drivers, warehouse workers, firefighters, staff in day care centers, etc. You can put Silent Socks
on the chair legs to avoid the noise.
The body can’t really adapt to odd working hours
The body’s temperature and certain hormones fluctuate with daylight. Our ability to sleep and rest is less during the day, and it becomes increasingly difficult to change our body’s rhythms as we age. You react slower when you work nights (like if you’ve had ¾ of a bottle of wine.) Most shift workers sleep about 2 hours less than day workers. On average, we sleep 7 hours per day, usually in one continuous period. However, the length of sleep varies greatly from person to person.
The sleep rhythm, on the other hand, is quite similar – for periods of about 90 minutes in length, we sleep deeper and deeper, then return to the surface – perhaps with a few ultra-short awakenings during the night. When sleep reaches its lightest stage, we dream. These REM periods, where the eyes move back and forth rapidly, are initially short, perhaps 3-5 minutes, but over the course of the night, REM periods become longer and longer, reaching 20-25 minutes in length. At the same time, sleep doesn’t get as deep in the “troughs” With age, sleep becomes more shallow and there may be more awakenings.
Shift worker sleep
For most people, daytime sleep becomes shorter – perhaps as little as 5 hours between night shifts. At the same time, sleep is not as deep as at night and the number of REM periods becomes shorter, as does the total length of REM periods. So daytime sleep is not as long, deep or dreamy as nighttime sleep. Aside from the immediate sleepiness, there is no immediate effect of sleep deprivation. The body will try to catch up, REM periods come faster and last longer in each sleep cycle. But of course, fatigue can be problematic because it increases the risk of accidents. We have many customers from Sweden and Norway. That’s why I’m writing this blog post in Swedish and Norwegian. We are working on translating and making our webshop more inviting for our Swedish and Norwegian neighbors. Until we have everything in place, I’ll try to write something here on our blog from time to time.
If you spot a translation error, I would be very happy and grateful if you could write to me at mb@porsa.dk. Thank you in advance!
We have dip shoes in all shapes and sizes, both for private individuals for furniture and for companies, dip shoes for aluminum profiles. A nice new addition is Silent Socks, which is actually Swedish design, and we are very happy with it. They are slip-on shoes that dampen scratching noises and protect both the floor and furniture. Yes, and it’s also good for us and especially for our children’s hearing.

We have dip shoes in all shapes and sizes for both private individuals for furniture and for businesses, dip shoes for aluminum profiles. A nice new addition is Silent Socks, a Swedish design that we are very excited about. These are “floating shoes” that dampen the scraping sound of the furniture and protect both the furniture and the floor. Yes, and it’s also good for us and especially our children’s hearing
Summertime also means new shoes for your garden furniture. Remember to put on new chair leg cap so that chairs and floors don’t get damaged. Buy online with us
You probably don’t think about it too much. At least I didn’t until I found out what chair leg cap were and where to buy them. In the pictures below, you can see what happened to me because I didn’t know to look out. I borrowed some chairs on Christmas Eve and didn’t realize they weren’t wearing proper chair leg cap. In the image above, you can see what it did to my living room floor.
In the second picture you can see that one of my garden chairs is not doing so well…. Why? Because I didn’t realize in time that it needed new shoes.
Broken lawn chair because I forgot to change the “shoes” on it
That’s why I recommend keeping an eye on the “shoes” before they’ve worn down completely – they’re there to protect both the floor and the furniture. Not only that, it gives your furniture a longer lifespan, and that’s worth thinking about.
A Sunbeam story about dupes. I saw a broadcast on TV Øst on January 8, 2019, about 8-year-old Lærke from 2B in Dianalund, who has a hearing aid. The sounds went straight into her hearing aids, making it difficult for her to listen in class when tables and chairs clattered. The class came up with a pretty clever solution. They punched holes in the tennis balls and put them on the chair legs. This meant that there wasn’t as much noise anymore. The local tennis club was on board with the idea and after a survey of neighboring clubs, they collected 208 balls in total. Lærke felt better because the unnecessary noise was reduced, which is good for all the children, who can concentrate better on their homework.
Reducing unnecessary noise is good for children who are sensitive, have hearing problems or autism. We specialize in chair leg cap, which are a slightly nicer alternative to tennis balls. Check out our acoustic socks/dup chair leg cap Silent Socks. On this page you can find everything in chair leg cap.
Large-sized End Cap, such as those made in RHS, are used in the wind turbine industry to cover parts and holes during sandblasting, metallization and coating. They are used to protect various part holes in hubs, brake plates etc. In the furniture industry, we use chair leg cap under chairs, tables and sofas to protect the furniture and avoid wear and tear on floors and other surfaces. They are also used in associations, community centers, schools and institutions, etc. for chairs and tables.
